Two surprising teams, and two rookie quarterbacks, face off Sunday when the Miami Dolphins travel to Indianapolis to face the Colts. Both teams are 4-3 and very much in the race for a division championship, despite preseason predictions that had them as AFC cellar-dwellers.
NFL picks Week 9: Dolphins vs. Colts
Miami is favored by the experts heading into this weekend’s clash in Indianapolis.

The Dolphins' success has been built on one thing: A rushing defense that allows just 82 yards per game and ranks third in the league. Rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill has thrown for just 210 yards per game and four touchdowns, but the Dolphins offense has been effective enough to keep Miami in the playoff hunt.
On the other sideline, No. 1 pick Andrew Luck has not disappointed, throwing for 282 yards per game and eight touchdowns. The Colts' defense has been especially effective against the pass, conceding just 213 passing yards per game, good for seventh in the league.
SB Nation NFL expert Joel Thorman has predicted a 17-13 Miami victory Sunday. The choice is echoed by the OddsShark.com NFL scores picker, which suggests a 24-16 Dolphins victory is in order. Two of three NFL experts at Yahoo take the Dolphins, while the CBS Sports NFL experts are split.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET, with coverage on CBS. For more information on the Colts-Dolphins matchup, head to OddsShark.com.
