DeAngelo Hall avoids suspension for incident with ref

Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall will not be suspended for an altercation with a referee on Sunday.

Joe Sargent

Washington Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall will not miss future game time for his actions toward a referee in the team's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, according to the Washington Post. Hall was ejected from the game for getting in the face of a referee in the fourth quarter. He will be fined and warned that future incidents will result in suspension by the NFL.

Hall attempted to justify his actions on Wednesday, saying that the referee shared part of the blame for incorrectly flagging the cornerback following an altercation with Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders. It's possible the NFL may have taken that into account in deciding not to suspend Hall.

Frustration may be building for the Redskins, as the team has dropped three of its last four games. Hall will try to be on his best behavior, and Washington will try to get back on track, when the Redskins face the Carolina Panthers at FedEx Field on Sunday.
