On their first drive of the game the Chiefs stunned everyone and moved the ball down the field with multiple third down conversions. For a team that hasn't led during regulation this season, it's the little things that get you excited.
Chiefs vs. Chargers: Jon Baldwin, Matt Cassel aren’t happy
The Chiefs QB and WR had a miscommunication.
But this is the Chiefs we’re talking about. Of course something had to go wrong and they had to get in their own way.
There was some sort of miscommunication. Cassel tried to hit Baldwin down the left side of the field and the ball sailed past him. Cassel was visibly upset at something and Baldwin appeared to be responding to him, even seemingly fired up in the huddle.
This is a good example of the 2012 Chiefs. Baldwin is a physically gifted receiver who could cause a lot of damage but he and Cassel can’t get on the same page, whether that’s Cassel’s fault or Baldwin’s route-running. The talent seems like it’s there, but they can never put it together. Your 2012 Chiefs.
But if you’re a receiver you should stay on your quarterback’s good side.
