If the Chiefs are going to be horrible then they may as well be entertaining.
The Chiefs double fake onside kick did not work
But it almost did.
With only a few minutes left in Thursday's game against the Chargers, the Chiefs faced an 18-point deficit and an offense that has been one of the worst in the league. Everyone knew the game was over but the Chiefs went for the onside kick anyway.
But it wasn’t a normal onside. It was a double fake onside.
Can’t say I remember seeing something like this before. It almost worked but after a lengthy scrum the Chargers came out with the ball.
Not that it would’ve mattered. It’ll take the Chiefs another three weeks to match the Chargers 31 points.
