NFC South injury report: Julio Jones limited by ankle issue

The Falcons’ standout receiver suffered an ankle injury against the Saints on Sunday.

Chris Graythen

The teams of the NFC South suffered some additional injury setbacks in Week 10.

The first-place Atlanta Falcons lost wide receiver Julio Jones to an ankle injury in the first quarter of their 31-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints, though Jones was able to return in the second half. Jones finished the game with 75 yards receiving, and it is unclear how this injury might affect his play going forward.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Quincy Black suffered a neck injury in the team's 34-24 win over the Chargers and had to be carted off the field on a stretcher. The Bucs are optimistic that Black will make a full recovery, though they are not certain when he might be able to return to the field.

Saints cornerback Corey White suffered a leg injury during the third quarter of his team’s victory over the Falcons Sunday and was not able to return. His status is unclear at this point.

Carolina Panthers left guard Amini Silatolu suffered a cut on his leg and had to leave in the third quarter but was eventually able to return. The Panthers lost to the Broncos, 36-14, on Sunday.
