Michael Vick injury: Eagles QB ‘foggy’, ‘not very alert’

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is still experiencing concussion symptoms.

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick tested below the baseline mark on the league mandated concussion test on Friday, according to head trainer Rick Burkholder.

Vick had too many symptoms to get past the first phase of testing and was not able to participate in the exercise portion. Burkholder stated that Vick had symptoms all week and that the quarterback was “foggy” in addition to not being “very alert.” The trainer added that Vick has been tired, heavy eyed and has not been acting like himself.

On the plus side, Vick’s vision has returned although he is still sensitive to light. However, Burkholder stated that Vick has always been sensitive to light, which is why he wears a dark visor on his helmet.

Burkholder was unable to give a timeline for a potential return, stating that he isn’t thinking about the long term in this situation. As of this time, Vick is scheduled to undergo testing again on Monday.

Vick had already been ruled out for Sunday's Week 11 matchup with the Washington Redskins. Head coach Andy Reid stated that wide receiver Jeremy Maclin will act as the team's emergency quarterback.
