Josh Cribbs upset with Browns: ‘I feel caged’
Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Cribbs complained about being underutilized in the Browns offense, saying “I feel caged.”

Cribbs complained about his lack of touches, saying, “it’s like by me not playing, I feel like they think I’m not good, that I’ve lost it. But I haven’t.” Cribbs said he’s talked to coach Pat Shurmur about being more involved in the offense, but that “there’s no point.”
“Obviously they (the coaches) feel like everybody that’s in front of me is a better athlete. I disagree,” Cribbs said.
It is especially tough for Cribbs to sit on the sideline as the team struggles. If the team were winning, Cribbs maintains he would not complain, but with a 2-7 record “something needs to change.” Cribbs is fed up with not getting a chance to help the team or prove himself:
“There’s something wrong when one of your best athletes doesn’t get the ball. I’m tired of people that don’t know how to use me. Get creative. Find ways.”
Cribbs has been used almost exclusively as a kick returner this year. He has returned 27 kickoffs for 801 yards and 23 punts for 289 yards, placing him third in yards per kickoff return and fourth in yards per punt return. Cribbs’ contract expires at the end of the season.
