Hi. I'm a Patriots fan. But before you judge me ... sigh, you've already judge me, haven't you? Well, we're not all bad, is the thing. Some of us are very nice, and normal, and know that the past decade has been extremely fortunate, and we're just trying to enjoy it while it lasts.
VIDEO: Patriots fans cheer Adam Vinatieri’s missed FG
Because they are a confused bunch, Patriots booed Adam Vinatieri Sunday in Foxboro. Until he missed a field goal – then they cheered him.

For example, let's say that Adam Vinatieri, a kicker who helped New England win three Super Bowls – and converted some of the most memorable kicks in NFL playoff history – returned to Gillette Stadium as a member of the Colts, years after leaving. Surely Pats fans would offer a hearty round of applause. Maybe they wouldn't be happy to see him, but certainly they wouldn't boo him, right? And they definitely wouldn't cheer if he missed an near-impossible 58-yarder ... right?
Sigh. Never mind.
