Colts vs. Patriots final score: New England capitalizes on rough day for Andrew Luck in 59-24 win

The Patriots dominated the Colts on Sunday at Gillette Stadium as the New England defense made life rough for Indianapolis rookie quarterback Andrew Luck.

The New England Patriots defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 59-24, on Sunday at Gillette Stadium.

The Patriots defense surrendered 448 yards in the victory, but turned three of Andrew Luck's four turnovers into 21 points. New England piled up 446 yards in the win. Neither team had a 100-yard rusher as the emphasis for both teams was on the passing game. The Colts surprisingly led 14-7 after the first quarter, but the Patriots responded with a 17-3 second quarter and 38 second half points in the blowout.

Fantasy studs and duds: Both Tom Brady and Andrew Luck went over 300 yards passing, but Brady was the fantasy quarterback of the game. Brady finished 24-of-35 passing for 331 yards and three touchdowns. Luck threw two touchdowns and had 334 yards, but also threw three interceptions (two pick sixes) and lost a fumble. Patriots receiver Julian Edelman scored touchdowns on a punt return, pass reception and nearly added a third score with a long rush attempt. Rob Gronkowski led all receivers with seven receptions for 137 yards and two touchdowns. T.Y. Hilton was Luck's go-to receiver with six grabs for 100 yards and two scores. Odds/gambling: The Patriots had easily covered the eight-point spread by the early point of the third quarter. The Patriots also covered the over, which was set at 53 points, by themselves.

Injury info: Colts wide receiver Donnie Avery sustained a concussion in the first half and did not return to the game. Colts defensive lineman Cory Redding injured his hip early in the fourth quarter and helped off the field by trainers.

Next on tap: The Patriots are on the road on Thanksgiving to play the New York Jets. The Colts will play on Sunday and host the Buffalo Bills.
