Browns vs. Cowboys, Week 11: Dallas fans pleased with Dez Bryant’s career day

The Dallas Cowboys receiver had a career-high 145 yards receiving in Sunday’s 23-20 win over Cleveland.

The Dallas Cowboys needed a 13-point comeback and overtime to beat the two-win Cleveland Browns on Sunday, thanks in big part to a tremendous second half by receiver Dez Bryant. With the Cowboys trailing 13-0 coming out of halftime, Bryant had 120 yards receiving and one touchdown on nine catches that fueled his team to a comeback win.

KD Drummond of Blogging The Boys runs down the big day by Bryant, along with the struggles of the rest of the Cowboys offense.

Dez Bryant clearly was the offensive star for the game. He reeled in 12 catches for 145 yards and a score. He probably earned better, but a play where he broke free from a group tackle was quickly whistled dead for the completion of forward progress. Not much else worked for Dallas except for the standard "Jason Witten for 7" plays until the final few drives where Miles Austin was featured. Again, there was very little running game to speak of whether it was Felix Jones or Lance Dunbar. Romo ended up 35 for 50 for 313 yards, 1 TD and his third straight game without an interception.

The Cowboys produced 320 yards of total offense and held the ball for more than 42 minutes in the game. Dallas was aided by several drive-extending mistakes and penalties by the Browns defense, and went just 4-for-14 on third down while averaging three yards per carry on 21 attempts.

The biggest issue on Sunday was the offensive line, which allowed a season-high seven sacks of quarterback Tony Romo.
