Panthers’ Charles Johnson calls out teammates on Twitter

Carolina’s defensive end wasn’t happy with how overtime went Sunday, and took to the Internet to talk about it.

US PRESSWIRE

Carolina Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson wasn't happy with how Sunday's 27-21 overtime loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ended. So the sixth-year man out of Georgia took to Twitter to air his frustrations:

It seems Johnson meant to say some people get “exposed” because they don’t study or work as hard as other players. He didn’t mention anyone specifically, but it seems to be a pretty clear jab at one or more of his teammates.

The Bucs won Sunday's game thanks to an eight-play, 80-yard drive to start overtime. Bucs quarterback Josh Freeman hit tight end Dallas Clark with a 15-yard touchdown to win the game.

Johnson, meanwhile, finished the game with no sacks and no tackles. The third-round pick in 2007 was on the books for one pass deflection, but nothing more.

In 10 games this season, Johnson has 22 tackles, five forced fumbles and 8 1/2 sacks. In the previous two seasons, Johnson combined for 20 1/2 sacks in 31 games.
