Green Bay Packers' head coach Mike McCarthy noted on Friday that wide receiver Jordy Nelson will be a game-time decision for the team's Week 9 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. Nelson is nursing a hamstring injury that forced him to miss the previous game against the Jacksonville Jaguars and also kept him out of practice on Wednesday and Thursday. McCarthy said Nelson was pushed hard on Friday and that the team will re-evaluate the situation on Saturday morning:

If Nelson is unable to go, it would be a big blow to the offense. The former second-round pick leads the team in targets (57), reception yardage (532), catches for 20-plus yards (6), yards per game (76.0) and he is second in touchdown catches (5). The Cardinals boast the No. 4 pass defense in the NFL, so Aaron Rodgers will have his work cut out for him either way.
James Jones and Randall Cobb would presumably be pushed up the depth chart if Nelson can’t go against the Cardinals on Sunday (1 p.m. ET, FOX).
