Dallas Cowboys linebacker Bruce Carter went to the sideline after injuring his arm while making a fourth quarter tackle in against the Washington Redskins on Thursday. Carter's was taken back to the locker room, but has already been ruled out for the rest of the game. The injury came as the Cowboys trailed 28-13 early in the game's final period.

Carter has appeared in every game for the Cowboys since making his NFL debut on Oct. 30, 2011. He has posted 61 tackles thus far in his second year out of North Carolina. Carter was leading the Cowboys with nine total tackles, including five solo. He had also made a hit on the quarterback.
The Redskins would go on to take a 35-13 lead just a few plays after Carter left the game. Rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III has shredded the Cowboys' defense for 272 yards and four touchdowns.
The Cowboys are still fighting, as a touchdown and two-point conversion on the ensuing drive cut the Washington lead to 35-21 with 9:54 to play.
