Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu participated in practice on Friday afternoon, according to a report by Kareem Copeland of NFL.com.
Troy Polamalu injury: Steelers S returns to practice

It marked the first time in seven weeks that Polamalu was able to practice due to lingering issues with a strained right calf. Polamalu originally sustained the injury in the Steelers season opener against the Denver Broncos and re-aggravated the injury against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 5. In total, Polamalu has played in just five quarters in the 2012 regular season.
Polamalu was listed as limited in the Steelers practice on Friday. According to the report from Copeland, the veteran safety is not expected to play this weekend against the Cleveland Browns in Week 12.
The Steelers will be entering this weekend's game with a 6-4 record. The team is currently two games back of the Baltimore Ravens for first place in the AFC North and possess the final wild card spot in the AFC. They will be playing their final regular season matchup with the Ravens in Week 13.
