Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Eric Wright will not play against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Bucs head coach Greg Schiano told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio (via D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution).

Wright was listed as questionable on the injury report with a sore Achilles tendon, and was a limited participant in Friday's practice. E.J. Biggers and Leonard Johnson will be in line for playing time in Wright's absence, which should hurt an already poor Bucs pass defense that is ranked dead last in the NFL.
Wright, who signed with the Buccaneers as a free agent prior to the season, originally suffered the injury in October. and took a couple of hits directly to the injured area in the team's win over the Carolina Panthers last week.
A six-year pro out of UNLV, Wright has accumulated 39 tackles, a fumble recovery and an interception this season. Last year with the Detroit Lions, Wright had arguably the best season of his career, registering 74 tackles, four interceptions and a forced fumble.
