Carson Palmer's homecoming against the Cincinnati Bengals is off to an ugly start. The Oakland Raiders are down 21-0 near the end of the second quarter, and Palmer's struggles have been a big reason why. He took two sacks on the Raiders' opening drive, and is just 7 for 13 passing for 47 yards so far.

Carson Palmer is struggling mightily early in his homecoming against the Bengals in Cincinnati. He is just 7 for 13 passing for 47 yards for the Raiders.
Palmer is playing in Cincinnati for the first time since being traded to the Raiders last season. He harmed his reputation with the front office and with fans by refusing to play until he was traded or released by the team.
In the mean time, Andy Dalton took over as the Bengals' starter, and has been a clear success. He is badly outperforming Palmer so far, going 10 for 15 for 116 yards and two touchdowns (both caught by Mohamed Sanu) to start the game.
Palmer had been playing well of late, passing for at least 312 yards in each of his last three games while racking up eight touchdown passes over that span. So far in Week 12, he looks completely lost.
