Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte left Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings with an ankle injury and is questionable to return, as Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. Back-up Michael Bush will take over as the team's primary ball carrier in his absence.
Matt Forte injury: Bears RB hurts ankle, return questionable
Bears running back Matt Forte’s return to Sunday’s game is questionable after injuring his ankle in the second half.

Forte appeared to injure the ankle while stuck in a pile of Vikings defenders on a running play inside the tackles. Trying to get through the middle, Forte was eaten up by Minnesota’s front seven, eventually losing possession of the ball on what proved to a chaotic play at Soldier Field.
After Forte lost the ball, a Vikings defender picked it up and carried it into the end zone without a referee blowing his whistle, effectively giving Minnesota a touchdown. Given that the play was both a turnover and a scoring play, the replay booth quickly took to looking at the play, eventually overturning the call on the field as Forte’s knee was clearly down.
Unfortunately, while the referees managed to get the call right on the field, they couldn’t fix whatever possible damage may have occurred to Forte’s ankle. Before the injury, Forte carried the ball 14 times for 42 yards, but he also lost his first fumble in weeks.
