Kyle Rudolph injury: Vikings TE evaluated for possible concussion

Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph left Sunday’s game in order to undergo tests for a possible concussion.

Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph left Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears in order to undergo tests for a possible concussion. It's unclear what his current status is, but he likely won't return for the remainder of Sunday's game, especially with Chicago leading by double-digits late in the game.

With the Bears’ stifling defense making things difficult for Minnesota down the field, Rudolph has been a key part of the Vikings’ offense on Sunday. Even while leaving the game prematurely, Rudolph caught five passes for 55 yards and the team’s only touchdown.

Rudolph may have suffered the injury after an especially hard hit from Bears linebacker Lance Briggs, after which the tight end was noticeably shaken up. Not long after that play, the 23-year-old headed to Minnesota's locker room with team trainers.

Over the first 11 games of the season, Rudolph has caught 39 passes for 361 yards and seven touchdowns.
