With Alex Smith recovering from a concussion, Colin Kaepernick had his coming out party and raised the question of whether he was the quarterback the 49ers needed to make a move at the position. Head coach Jim Harbaugh made the move, and Kaepernick led his offense down the field, and ran in a touchdown on an option keeper.
49ers vs. Saints: Alex Smith is not happy for Colin Kaepernick
A solid teammate, no matter what... right?

Let’s check in on Alex Smith. I’m sure it’s been a rough week for the quarterback. Regardless of whether he still has the starting QB job or not, I’m sure he’s handling the situation with poise and aplomb, ready to congratulate the second-year QB on a drive well done.
Oh...
It’s a little surprising Smith would have this reaction. After all, he is the one who put such a premium on his team winning games when he talked about Cam Newton earlier this year. It appears his desire to win only extends as far as he’s the one throwing the ball.
