No update on Weeden concussion from Browns

    Matt Sullivan

Weeden sustained the concussion late in the 20-14 win over their rivals. Weeden appeared to hit his head on left tackle Joe Thomas’ leg after throwing an incomplete pass in the fourth quarter. Weeden finished 17-of-26 for 158 yards with a touchdown and an interception. McCoy did not attempt a pass in relief.

In further Tweets from Cabot, there’s quotes from Shurmur in which he notes that McCoy and Weeden have similar styles, and that he has plenty of confidence in McCoy. Still, he also says that McCoy needs time to prepare, and Weeden likely won’t be evaluated with a concussion test until later in the week.
