Ben Roethlisberger injury: ‘I’m going to try’ to play vs. Ravens

Big Ben is looking to play against the Ravens this Sunday with his rib injury still lingering.

Ben Roethlisberger watched his Pittsburgh Steelers lose in embarrassing fashion to the lowly Cleveland Browns on Sunday. He doesn't want to experience that feeling again.

According to NFL.com, Roethlisberger says he is hoping to play this Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. Per the article:

"I'm going to try," Roethlisberger told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Sunday. "It's killing me to watch."

Of course, whether Roethlisberger is even medically cleared is another question, but Big Ben says he wants to do all he can in order to be on the field.

In the first meeting between these teams two weekends ago, Roethlisberger was on the sideline while Byron Leftwich failed to get the job done while also sustaining a rib injury.

The Steelers could certainly use their future Hall-of-Fame quarterback, with the team losers of two straight and on the verge of falling out of a playoff spot.

The Cincinnati Bengals are only one game behind Pittsburgh in the AFC North, while the Ravens are comfortably atop the division.
