Andre Brown injury: Giants tailback done for the season

The broken fibula New York Giants running back Andre Brown suffered on Sunday night will reportedly keep him out for the rest of the season.

Mark L. Baer-US PRESSWIRE

Tests on Monday revealed that New York Giants' running back Andre Brown will be sidelined for the rest of the season with a broken fibula, according to a report by Jenny Vrentas of The Star-Ledger.

Brown suffered the broken fibula in the Giants' 38-10 Sunday night win over the Green Bay Packers. The extent to which the injury would keep Brown out was not known at the time, but he reportedly underwent more tests on Monday that determined he is done for the season.

Brown had 10 carries for 58 yards and a touchdown on Sunday night. In 10 games this season, Brown has 385 yards and eight touchdowns on 73 carries, serving as a goal-line and reserve running back.

The Giants will have an extra day to adjust for Brown's absence as they are back in action on Monday, Dec. 3, against the Washington Redskins. Kickoff from FedEx Field is set for 8:30 p.m. ET.
