The NFL suspended Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive back Eric Wright four games for a violation of the league's performance enhancing drug policy, and that suspension is going to cost Wright a lot of money.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the suspension means that the guaranteed money in his contract for next season is voided. Wright will also lose $1.7 million in salary for the four games he sits out this season, bringing his total financial losses to $9.45 million. He signed a five-year, $37.5 million dollar deal with the Bucs during the offseason.
Wright earned the suspension for his use of Adderall, which he claims he needed to treat health problems back in July. He is the second Tampa Bay defensive back to be suspended for Adderall use in the last two months, joining Aqib Talib.
Wright has started 10 games for Tampa Bay this season and has 39 tackles and an interception.
