The New York Giants will be trying out free agent running backs on Tuesday afternoon, including Cadillac Williams and Ryan Grant, according to a report by Jenny Vrentas of NewJersey.com. In addition to Grant and Williams, the team will also be trying out other candidates to fill the roster spot of injured running back Andre Brown.

Williams was originally picked with the No. 5 overall selection in the 2005 NFL Draft by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After six seasons with the team, he signed as a free agent with the St. Louis Rams in 2011 to back up Steven Jackson. In one season with St. Louis, Williams recorded 361 rushing yards with one touchdown on 87 attempts.

Grant was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Giants and spent the 2005 season on the practice squad. He then spent five seasons with the Green Bay Packers before signing as a free agent with the Washington Redskins this past offseason. After playing in one game, he was released by the team.

In addition, Ryan Torain is one of the other backs trying out for the Giants on Tuesday.
