The Seattle Seahawks have won twice in their last three trips to Chicago and hope to pick up another road win when they visit the Bears this Sunday at Soldier Field.
Seattle Seahawks at Chicago Bears: betting odds, preview, trends, pick
Seattle is the league’s hottest underdog team, but also one of its worst road teams. Can they cover 3.5 points at Chicago, a place where they have won two of three trips?

Seattle is a 3.5-point road underdog at most sportsbooks tracked by OddsShark.com, and that underdog role is one the Seahawks have embraced, going 14-3-1 ATS in 18 recent games in that situation).
Of note, the NFL prediction computer has picked the Bears to be one of just two homes to cover the spread in Week 13 (and Atlanta was the other and they already covered against the Saints Thursday night).
Can Seattle shake its recent road woes going up against one of the NFC’s top teams? Seattle is right in the thick of the Wild Card race thanks to a 5-0 SU and ATS record at home, but on the road this season the Seahawks are just 1-5 SU and ATS including last week’s road loss to the Miami Dolphins.
With both of Seattle’s starting cornerbacks expected to be suspended for the last four games of the season (for use of performance enhancing drugs), this week’s game is extremely important for the Seahawks’ playoff chances.
With Jay Cutler’s return last week, the Chicago Bears made quick work of the Minnesota Vikings in a 28-10 win to snap their two-game losing streak. Currently holding a one-game lead over the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North standings, the Bears will want to make the most of their remaining two home games as they are 5-1 SU at Soldier Field this season.
Overall, Chicago is 8-3 SU and 6-4-1 ATS.
Chicago ranks second in the league in scoring defense allowing 15.9 points per game and Seattle ranks third allowing 16.8 points per game. Interestingly, despite the fact that these two teams have been mostly defense-minded over the last decade, the total has gone OVER in each of their last seven meetings.
It is hard to figure out why Seattle is such a different team on the road than it is at home, but it is the case. Taking a rookie quarterback in Russell Wilson into Soldier Field against one of the league’s fiercest defenses seems like a recipe for disaster, and at home the Bears should be able to win this one by four or more.
