Familiar mistakes hurt Cardinals in loss

    Jonathan Daniel

Revenge of the Birds believes the Cardinals fell apart after a promising start, culminating with Rodgers’ 72-yard touchdown pass to Tom Crabtree at the end of the third quarter.

While the loss marks the fifth-straight for the Cardinals, there is some reason for optimism going forward:

James Starks taking value away from Alex Green

    Matthew Stockman

James Starks carried the ball 17 times for 61 yards against the Cardinals in Week 9, while Alex Green saw 11 carries for 53 yards on the afternoon. Mike McCarthy has backed up Green lately, but it appears the Packers would like to get others involved in the backfield.

Starks finished with just one carry last week, so his workload this time around came as a bit of a surprise.

Aaron Rodgers is still a fantasy monster

    Jonathan Daniel

It might not have been the most accurate day for Aaron Rodgers, but he got the job done in the scoring department. Rodgers completed 14 of 30 passes against the Cardinals for 218 yards, four touchdowns and one interception.

After managing just 186 yards against Jacksonville last week, Rodgers finished with a lower yardage total again than we’re used to seeing in Week 9.

Aaron Rodgers continues racking up touchdowns

    Jonathan Daniel

With 25 touchdown passes in a nine games already, Rodgers could challenge his franchise-record 45 touchdown passes set in 2011. He now has 70 touchdown passes and 11 interceptions in his last 24 regular season games. I don’t know if that’s some sort of record, but it should be and Rodgers should be considered the number one player in fantasy football for the time being.

Except for next week, since the Packers are off in Week 10. Without a Packers game next week, Rodgers might only throw two touchdowns.
