Seahawks have found their 6’4” QB and his name is Sidney Rice

But then we found out that Rice is ‘too thin’ to play quarterback.

After several years of searching for their franchise quarterback, it appears that the Seattle Seahawks signed their man last season. He was just listed at the wrong position.

Russell Wilson has been called too short. Matt Flynn hasn't been called upon at all. As you can see on this throw from the 6'4" Sidney Rice to tight end Zach Miller, Seattle has found their man:

In his two years with Seattle, Rice is now completing 100% of his passes (2 for 2) for 80 yards. You aren’t going to find better production than that. Luckily for Wilson, Rice has also caught a touchdown today and could be irreplaceable as a receiver. If only there was an athletic player listed at the wrong position that might not be the right size to play there.
