AFC West injury report: Darren McFadden, Chris Kuper hurting after Week 9

Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden and Denver Broncos guard Chris Kuper headline the AFC West injury report after Week 9.

Both the Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos sustained key injuries on Sunday that could affect their teams' effectiveness on offense going forward.

Raiders running back Darren McFadden was sent to the locker room for X-rays on his leg during the Raiders' loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The X-rays were negative, but McFadden was later diagnosed with a high ankle sprain. As a result, the running back is considered doubtful for Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens.

For Denver, starting guard Chris Kuper left the Broncos' win over the Cincinnati Bengals with a left leg injury. Kuper did not return. He's questionable for Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers, and considering he's one of the key members of an offensive line tasked with keeping Peyton Manning healthy, this could be a big blow.

Elsewhere in the AFC West, the San Diego Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs played on Thursday night, and the Chiefs came away pretty banged up.

Running back Jamaal Charles left the game with a head injury, although he tested negative for a concussion and is questionable for Week 10 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tackle Jeff Allen did suffer a concussion, and is questionable for Week 10. Finally, Glenn Dorsey suffered a calf injury and is also questionable for Week 10.

For San Diego, linebacker Antwan Barnes suffered a leg injury and is questionable for Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
