Bucs’ Ahmad Black cited for marijuana possession

Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Ahmad Black has been cited for marijuana possession. The player was not arrested and will be arraigned on Dec. 3.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Ahmad Black has been cited for marijuana possession, according to Stephen F. Holder of the Tampa Bay Times. The citation was issued in Hillsborough County in Florida when Black was caught with less than 20 grams of marijuana.

Black was not arrested for the possession but was given a notice to appear in court for the alleged offense. His arraignment is scheduled for Dec. 3. Black could be disciplined under the NFL’s personal conduct policy with either a fine or a suspension.

Black was drafted in the fifth round of the 2011 NFL Draft out of the University of Florida. Through his two-year career thus far, Black has recorded 15 tackles and two interceptions.

The Buccaneers are currently preparing for Sunday's game against the San Diego Chargers. The game will be at Tampa Bay's Raymond James Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on CBS.
