Michael Vick stated on Wednesday that his brother Marcus will no longer be a distraction via social media.

During the team's disappointing loss on Monday night to the New Orleans Saints, Marcus took to Twitter and expressed his frustration with the Eagles' offensive line and their inability to protect his brother. After sending out a string of explicitly worded tweets (including one which requested the Eagles trade Michael), Marcus gained a great deal of unwanted attention as his statements made their way across the network through retweets.
During Michael’s postgame media availability, reporters questioned whether he was aware of Marcus’ statements, which he stated he was not. On Wednesday, Michael informed Ian Rapoport of NFL.com that he had spoken to Marcus about the incident and promised that nothing like that will ever happen again.
On Tuesday, Marcus publicly apologized for his statement via his Twitter stream:
I love my brother and it’s hard as hell to watch him taking all those shots, but I’m sorry if I offended anyone and definitely didn’t mean to put Mike in a tough spot. I’m not only watching as a fan, I’m watching as his blood.
