Week 10 NFL odds: Bills vs. Patriots

In a game between the first- and last-place teams in the AFC East, the Patriots are double-digit favorites over the Buffalo Bills this weekend.

Jared Wickerham

The New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills are two teams headed in opposite directions, and the odds for their game this weekend reflect that. New England has won two straight, while the Bills have lost their last two and are at the bottom of the AFC East.

So, it’s not surprising that New England opened as a 9½-point favorite, and the first-place Patriots are now picked to win by 11 points.

The total for the game sits at 51, and with both teams having capable offenses – especially New England – the number seems reasonable.

It's not always easy to tell, however, whether the Bills' offense will show up. In a loss last week to Houston, Buffalo scored only nine points, its second-worst performance of the year. The week before, however, the Bills put up 34 against the Titans, but still managed to lose the game.

The Patriots, led by Tom Brady, will come into the game looking to steamroll Buffalo with a high-powered attack. New England did just that back on Sept. 30 when it scored six straight second-half touchdowns en route to a 52-28 blowout win over the Bills.

Kickoff this Sunday is at 1 p.m. from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass.
