Andrew Luck has leaned heavily on Reggie Wayne - who else? - in the passing game during the early going of Thursday night's barnburner against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Donnie Avery, a speedster who excels on the go routes and other plays designed to stretch the field, has just one catch so far, but it's a real looker.

Let's set it up for you. The Colts have first-and-10 from the 50-yard line, having gained possession after recovering a fumble. Avery shoots down the field, stopping just enough to go up and make the catch. And it's the catch that makes it such a special play. All told, it was a 44-yard gain for the Colts.
That set up first-and-goal. Jacksonville’s defense did a nice job holding Indianapolis, but on fourth-and-1 Luck pushed it in on a quarterback sneak for his second rushing touchdown of the night and fifth of the season. That gave the Colts a 17-0 lead which looks completely insurmountable at this point.
