Week 10 NFL picks: Texans vs. Bears

The NFL’s two 7-1 teams meet Sunday night in Chicago

Sam Greenwood

The Houston Texans and Chicago Bears meet this Sunday night at Soldier Field in Chicago in an important game for both teams as they push toward locking up a first-round bye and potential home field advantage throughout the playoffs. The interconference contest between two 7-1 teams has experts understandably divided on their predicted outcomes.

Joel Thorman of SBNation.com says “both teams are very similar, which makes this game hard to pick.” He takes the Bears to win 20-19 at home.

Seven of ESPN’s ten NFL panelists pick the Bears to prevail at home. Mike Golic, Chris Mortensen and Mark Schlereth are taking the visiting Texans.

Yahoo! Sports writers Michael Silver, Les Carpenter and Jason Cole all pick Houston to win. Of CBS Sports’ eight experts, Pete Prisco, Will Brinson, and Ryan Wilson picked the Texans to win.

The Texans are one-point underdogs on the road, according to OddsShark. PickShark.com and the OddsShark computer both take Houston to win.
