Panthers still traveling to Kansas City despite Arrowhead Stadium shooting

The two teams are scheduled to play on Sunday at noon.

A Kansas City Chiefs player is dead after an apparent murder-suicide according to the Kansas City police department. The player, according to multiple reports, is 25-year old linebacker Jovan Belcher.

The Chiefs are scheduled to play the Carolina Panthers at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday at noon and so far the game will still go on.

It's hard to see how the Chiefs can play a game in conditions like this but there is no easy way to make the game up. The NFL has yet to release an official statement recognizing the situation so this should be considered a fluid situation. There's still time to cancel if they need to.
