Broncos vs. Ravens: Switch at offensive coordinator not helping Baltimore

After making a mid-week switch, the Ravens’ offense doesn’t look any better.

The Baltimore Ravens hoped to inject some life into their anemic offense when they elected to fire offensive coordinator Cam Cameron mid-week and turn play calling over to Jim Caldwell. Hosting the Denver Broncos on Sunday, it doesn't appear that making the switch has done anything to help move the ball.

There have been severe breakdowns on the offensive line, and Joe Flacco's accuracy has been questionable. The Ravens have just 41 yards on 17 plays, as they've failed on the ground as well as the air. Baltimore's quarterback has thrown for 19 yards, Ray Rice has run for only five yards -- and one of their best plays of the day, a 15-yard run by Bernard Pierce, was erased by a holding call.

Adding to these woes, Joe Flacco turned the ball over on a first-quarter fumble, leading to a Denver field goal. The Ravens' defense is getting to Peyton Manning with regularity, sacking him once and hitting the Broncos QB twice, but until Baltimore gets their offense on track it's shaping up to be a long day.
