Packers vs. Bears game recap: Green Bay clinches NFC North with 21-13 win

Despite some silly mistakes, the Packers rode a big performance from Aaron Rodgers and some stifling defense to a 21-13 victory over the Bears on Sunday afternoon.

Despite making some silly mistakes and failing to capitalize on some key opportunities, the Green Bay Packers defeated the Chicago Bears, 21-13, Sunday afternoon. The victory clinches the NFC North division title for the Packers, ensuring a place in the postseason for the fourth consecutive season.

The Packers lost a pair of fumbles, missed a pair of field goal attempts and averaged less than 4 yards per carry, but a big game from Aaron Rodgers and strong defense proved enough against a struggling Bears team. Chicago has now lost five of its past six games after starting the year a red-hot 7-1.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler's struggles against the franchise's biggest rival continued on Sunday, as he completed just 12 of 21 passes for 135 yards with one touchdown and one interception. He was also sacked four times, dropping Chicago's total passing yardage figure to a paltry 107 yards.

That performance looked particularly weak compared against Rodgers. He had Green Bay’s offense hitting on all cylinders after a shaky start, finishing with 291 passing yards and three touchdowns.

Fantasy Studs/Duds

Beyond Rodgers, his biggest targets proved to put up big numbers. James Jones caught five passes for 60 yards and three touchdowns, while Randall Cobb caught six passes for 115 yards.

Matt Forte was Chicago's most impressive offensive performer, totaling 69 rushing yards and 64 receiving yards. Brandon Marshall snagged six passes for 56 yards and a touchdown.

Injury Info
