Broncos vs. Ravens game recap: Denver doubles up Baltimore, 34-17

The Denver Broncos led from the start, cruising to a 34-17 win over the Baltimore Ravens on the road.

USA TODAY Sports

Knowshon Moreno and Jacob Hester each rushed for a touchdown as the Denver Broncos beat the Baltimore Ravens on the road, 34-17, on Sunday.

Denver led from start to finish, opening up a 3-0 lead in the first quarter on a Matt Prater field goal. Hester made it 10-0 early on in the second with his 1-yard touchdown run, but the big blow came at the end of the half.

Chris Harris intercepted a Joe Flacco throw and returned it 98 yards for the touchdown to give the Broncos a 17-0 lead at halftime, a deficit from which Baltimore would never recover.

Justin Tucker drilled a 45-yard field goal in the third and Dennis Pitta caught two touchdown passes from Flacco in the fourth for the Ravens, but it was not enough. Moreno's six-yard third-quarter run to go along with an Eric Decker touchdown reception, then another field goal from Prater provided plenty of cushioning as the Broncos won comfortably.

Flacco finished the game 20 of 40 for 254 yards with two touchdowns and an interception.

For Denver, Peyton Manning was 17 of 28 for 204 yards. He did not throw an interception, but did connect on that touchdown pass to Decker.

The win helps the Broncos stay alive in the race for the best record in the AFC, while the loss for Baltimore might make them sweat a little bit. At 9-5 with two games to go, the Ravens look good to make the playoffs, but a couple wins to finish the season would certainly help.

Fantasy studs: Decker had the most impressive stat line of the day. He had eight receptions for 133 yards, including that third-quarter touchdown. Moreno's 118 yards on 22 carries weren't so bad either. Pita finished with 125 yards on seven receptions and two touchdowns.

Injury Report: No major injuries to report from this one. Jacoby Jones went down for a bit for the Ravens, but was able to return to the game.

But Did They Cover? The Broncos were only favored by three, so they covered easily.
