Chiefs vs. Raiders final score: Sebastian Janikowski kicks Oakland to 15-0 win

The punchless Kansas City Chiefs were held without a first down for the majority of their 15-point loss to the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

The Oakland Raiders shutout the Kansas City Chiefs, 15-0, on Sunday afternoon at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, Calif. Sebastian Janikowski kicked five field goals to lead the Raiders to the victory.

The Raiders accumulated nearly 400 yards of total offense, but had problems finishing drives. That didn’t matter to Janikowski, who nailed two kicks of 50-plus yards, including a 57-yarder at the end of the first half, which gave Oakland a two-score lead.

Of course, one score would have been too much for the Chiefs to overcome on this day. Kansas City gained just 119 yards of total offense, and was held to a measly 17 in the first half. The Chiefs’ running game was the their biggest issue; Kansas City had minus-2 rushing yards at halftime, and finished the game with just 10.

Meanwhile, Oakland's two-headed rushing attack of Darren McFadden and Mike Goodson combined for 199 yards, and Carson Palmer managed the game well, completing 18 of 29 passes for 182 yards and no turnovers. Palmer's success kept the Raiders from using Terrelle Pryor more than they did; Pryor played in just one series and attempted one pass, which was incomplete and intended for Darrius Heyward-Bey. The Raiders went three-and-out with the Ohio State product under center.

Stat of the game
The Chiefs failed to pick up a first down until the six-minute mark in the third quarter.
Fantasy stud

Janikowski definitely deserves the nod here after hitting five out of six field goal attempts, including three from 40 or more yards, and accounting for all of his team’s points.
Fantasy dud

Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles pulled a disappearing act on Sunday, rushing nine times for 10 yards.

Did they cover?

The Raiders entered the game as four-point favorites, so Janikowski's field goal four minutes into the second quarter gave Oakland all it needed to cover.

Up next

The Chiefs return home to host the Indianapolis Colts next Sunday, while the Raiders travel to Charlotte to take on the Carolina Panthers.
