Packers vs. Bears 2012: Green Bay sets sights on playoff success

Reaction from Packers’ blog Acme Packing Company after Green Bay secured a playoff spot with a 21-13 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

David Banks

The Green Bay Packers clinched the NFC North division title on Sunday with a 21-13 victory over the Chicago Bears. After giving up the first touchdown, Green Bay stormed back with 21 unanswered points and did not give up another touchdown to seal the victory.

Aaron Rodgers threw three touchdowns, all of them to James Jones, and was not intercepted as he racked up 291 yards. Randall Cobb was the game's leading receiver with 135 yards on six catches.

While clinching a spot in the playoffs with another division title was a big accomplishment, Devin Shanley from Packers blog Acme Packing Company said that Green Bay now needs to set its sights higher.

It’s always satisfying to win the division. It’s often the first step a team has in accomplishing their goals for the season and clearly the best way to make the playoffs....but in the end winning the division is not enough. The Packers have been there and done that on wrapping up the division and now it’s time to treat this accomplishment in the same manner and look to what the real test of the this season...the playoffs.

The Packers are now 10-4 on the season with games against Tennessee and Minnesota left on their schedule.
