Redskins OT Jordan Black suspended for PED violation

Washington Redskins offensive tackle Jordan Black has been suspended four games by the NFL for violating its policy on performance enhancing substances.

Paul Frederiksen-US PRESSWIRE

The NFL has suspended Washington Redskins offensive tackle Jordan Black four games for "violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances." There was no indication as to what Black tested positive for or whether there would be an appeal.

Black has appeared in all 14 games for the Redskins this season.

The 6'5 tackle is in his ninth season in the league. He began his career with the Kansas City Chiefs, spending four years there before moving to Houston for a season. Black spent three years with the Jacksonville Jaguars before joining Washington.

The Redskins are currently atop the tightly-packed NFC East as one of three teams with 8-6 records. Black’s suspension would continue into the postseason if Washington secured a spot in the playoffs.

The suspension going into affect immediately and the first game Black will miss is the Redskins' Week 16 meeting with the Philadelphia Eagles on Dec. 23. Kickoff at Lincoln Financial Field is scheduled for 1 p.m.
