Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy will start in the team's Week 16 matchup against the Washington Redskins, according to head coach Andy Reid on Wednesday. He will share carries with rookie back Bryce Brown.
LeSean McCoy injury: Eagles RB will start this week
LeSean McCoy will start against the Washington Redskins in Week 16.

McCoy has missed the team’s last four games since sustaining a concussion against the Redskins in Week 11. The injury occurred in the final minutes of the fourth quarter with the Eagles trailing, 31-6. With Philadelphia ultimately losing by that margin, Reid received a considerable amount of criticism for leaving McCoy in the game at that stage.
In McCoy’s absence, Brown has taken over as the feature back. While he has shown potential, the 21-year-old has struggled to consistently perform. In his first two starts, Brown recorded 347 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 43 carries. In his last two starts, he has only registered 40 rushing yards on 28 carries.
Sunday’s game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on Fox.
