The Houston Texans look to clinch a playoff spot when they travel to Nashville to take on the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
The Titans (4-7) fired former offensive coordinator Chris Palmer on Monday after they lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-19 last week. The Titans bigger problems may actually be on defense, where they rank 31st, allowing 30.5 points per game. They rank 27th in passing defense, allowing 262.1 yards per game through the air and 27th in rushing defense, allowing 129.8 yards per game on the ground.
The Texans (10-1) will clinch a playoff spot with a win and reach 11 wins for the first time in franchise history. They will have to do so with a rash of injuries. Linebackers Brooks Reed and Bradie James both got injured in the Texans' Thanksgiving day win over the Detroit Lions. With Brian Cushing already out for the year, Connor Barth is the only original starting linebacker healthy against the Titans.
