Jake Long injury: Dolphins LT hurts triceps, questionable to return

The Dolphins’ star left tackle left Sunday’s matchup against the Patriots

Dolphins left tackle Jake Long has left Sunday's game against the Patriots with a triceps injury. He is questionable to return.

Rookie Jonathan Martin -- the Dolphins' starting right tackle -- has replaced Long at left tackle while backup Nate Garner has slipped into Martin's spot on the right side.

The injury is a major blow to the Dolphins’ chances of an upset against division-leading New England today. Should Long miss significant time, it could be devastating to Miami’s hopes of sneaking into the playoffs.

Long, one of the game’s elite offensive linemen and the first overall pick in the 2008 draft, has only missed two games in his five-year career.
