Cecil Shorts III injury: Jaguars WR leaves game after blow to head
The Jags wideout will not return to Sunday’s game

Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts III has left Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills with a head injury. He will not return to the game.
Shorts left for the locker room after he was injured during a reception late in the fourth quarter. Bills cornerback Ron Brooks connected with Shorts on a helmet-to-helmet hit and was flagged for the play.
Shorts has been a revelation for the miserable Jaguars -- and for fantasy owners -- lately, and was having another excellent day Sunday, with seven catches for 77 yards and a touchdown.
The second-year receiver from Mount Union college has 824 yards and seven touchdowns this season.
An injury to Shorts won't do much to impact the Jags' playoff chances (obviously), but it will limit the options for Chad Henne down the stretch run, as the Jags will have to decide whether to keep Henne as the starter into 2013 or seek other options.
