Rams vs. Buccaneers results: St. Louis forces 4 interceptions, wins, 28-13

Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman threw four interceptions against the Rams on Sunday.

The St. Louis Rams were able to go on the road and get the win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 28-13, on Sunday afternoon. Heading into this game, both squads had playoff aspirations, but even though the Rams were victorious, they are not going to make the playoffs due to the Minnesota Vikings upsetting the Houston Texans.

The Buccaneers offense had a tough time moving the ball against the Rams on the ground. Star rookie running back Doug Martin was held to just 62 yards on the afternoon, and had a long of just eight years. Quarterback Josh Freeman had a rough day by throwing four interceptions on the day. One of those was a 41-yard pick-six by Janoris Jenkins.

The Rams took control of the game when they scored 21 unanswered points from the end of the second quarter through their first possession of the third quarter. The big play that gave the Rams a commanding league was the 80-yard touchdown pass to tight end Lance Kendricks, which was the very first offensive play of the third quarter. The Rams then got the ball back when Trumaine Johnson picked off Freeman, driving down the field to go up, 21-6.

Each team would go on to score another touchdown in the third quarter, but in the final frame, the Rams defense stepped up and was able to keep the Buccaneers out of the end zone.

Fantasy studs and duds

Kendricks had a huge game with four catches for 119 yards and a touchdown. On the Buccaneers side, receiver Mike Williams was a bright spot with seven receptions for 132 yards and a score. The fantasy dud on the day goes to Tampa Bay quarterback Josh Freeman. Freeman did throw for 372 yards and a touchdown, but he threw four interceptions.

Injury report
