While the Seattle Seahawks picked up a big win against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, they didn't do so without some health issues. Linebackers Leroy Hill and Malcolm Smith suffered injuries against San Francisco, according to John Boyle of the Everett Herald.
Seahawks injury update: Leroy Hill, Malcolm Smith hurt vs. 49ers
The Seahawks escaped Sunday’s game against San Francisco relatively healthy, with only linebackers Leroy Hill and Malcolm Smith suffering injuries.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said Hill suffered a hamstring injury, while Smith is hampered by a groin injury. While those were the only two injuries to come from the game, they could prove to be problematic. Both Hill and Smith play weakside linebacker for Seattle, leaving the depth chart at that position precariously thin. If neither Hill nor Smith were able to play against St. Louis on Sunday, Seattle would likely have to shuffle its linebacker depth chart.
Despite the possible issues at linebacker, Seattle did get some good news on the injury front. Carroll said cornerback Marcus Trufant is expected to return to practice Wednesday. Trufant missed the last four games with a hamstring injury. Carroll said he wasn't sure if cornerback Walter Thurmond would be able to return this week as well.
