Week 17 NFL odds: Dolphins vs. Patriots

The New England Patriots will be heavy favorites over the Dolphins in the final week of the NFL regular season

USA TODAY Sports

The New England Patriots will enter their Week 17 game with the Miami Dolphins as 11 1/2-point favorites. The Dolphins enter the final week of the NFL regular season on a two-game winning streak, having defeated the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars in their last two contests. The Patriots have won eight of their last nine games, with the only loss in that span coming in Week 15 to the San Francisco 49ers.

The over/under for the game has been set at 49 1/2 points. In seven of their last nine games, the Patriots and their opponent have combined for at least that amount, with the Patriots explosive offense averaging over 37 points per game by themselves in that span.

While the Dolphins have been eliminated from the postseason, the New England Patriots will certainly have something to play for. A New England win could still see it earning a first-round bye, and there is also a remote possibility that it ends up as the AFC's top seed.
