NFL picks and predictions Week 17: Browns vs. Steelers

The Browns beat the Steelers in the first meeting of the year, but not many NFL experts are predicting a Cleveland sweep.

USA TODAY Sports

The Browns and Steelers will wrap up their season in Pittsburgh on Sunday and even though Cleveland knocked off the Steelers in Week 12, not many are picking the Browns to complete the season sweep.

All three NFL experts from Yahoo! Sports picked Pittsburgh. Mike Silver, Jason Cole and Les Carpenter have not picked the Browns often recently as none as picked Cleveland in either of the previous two weeks. Of the eight NFL experts from CBS Sports, just one picked Cleveland to win on Sunday. While his colleagues picked the Steelers, Will Brinson picked Cleveland to win. That may be a good sign for the Browns as Brinson has a 159-80-1 record on the season, the second best record of the eight CBS Sports’ experts.

While the majority of the national media picked the Steelers, Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette picked the visiting Browns. Dulac noted the vast number of injuries Pittsburgh is dealing with as one of the main reasons Cleveland will complete the sweep.

The Browns have not swept Pittsburgh since 1988.
