Dallas Cowboys vs Washington Redskins betting odds, preview, Week 17 pick

Washington can complete a huge turnaround and Dallas can choke again in a must-win game. The Redskins remain Week 17 odds menu favorite against the Cowboys .

The Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins will be playing for the NFC East Title when they meet at FedExField in Washington this Sunday.

The Redskins were a 3-point home favorite at most sportsbooks this week over at OddsShark.com.

Heading into their bye week back in Week 10 with a 3-6 SU and 4-5 ATS record, the Washington Redskins were looking like an also-ran with a bright future with Robert Griffin III and Alfred Morris on offense. As it turns out, the “future” may be now.

Stringing together six straight wins both SU and ATS, Washington has improved its season totals to 9-6 SU and 10-5 ATS, and is one win at home away from securing a division title and a playoff berth.

Are the Dallas Cowboys destined to play the role of bridesmaid in the NFC East for the second straight year? In 2011, the Cowboys were on the road to face the New York Giants in Week 17 with the NFC East on the line. New York won that game and went on to win the Super Bowl while Dallas was sent home golfing.

The Cowboys will undoubtedly be driven to avoid the same fate this year, but will drive be enough against these red-hot Redskins? Dallas is 8-7 SU and 6-9 ATS this season but 5-2 SU over its last seven games.

Washington is 3-2 SU and 5-0 ATS in its last five games against the Dallas Cowboys. The Redskins are also 5-0 ATS and 4-1 SU against divisional opponents this season.

The total has gone OVER in three of the last four games between these two teams, including this year’s shootout in Dallas that the Redskins won 38-31. Dallas is 2-10 SU in its last 12 Week 17 games.

This should be an exciting game. Tony Romo has been playing very well and passed for 441 yards and three touchdowns in the last game against Washington. Of course, Robert Griffin III one-upped him with four touchdowns in that shootout.

You could make a case for either team, but with Dallas’s history of late season collapses and Washington’s “team of destiny” feel, it is hard to pick against RGIII and the Redskins.
