Seahawks vs. Bears, Week 13: Bears can’t stop Russell Wilson

Chicago took a lead into the fourth quarter Sunday, but late heroics from Seattle rookie quarterback Russell Wilson helped the Seahawks rally to victory.

The Chicago Bears fell 23-17 in overtime to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday afternoon, dropping their record to 8-4 on the season. Chicago took a 14-10 lead into the fourth quarter, but as SB Nation's Windy City Gridiron lamented afterward, the Bears couldn't stop Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson from rallying his team.

Wilson started getting his legs into the game more and more and it took hold in the fourth quarter as he scrambled for several first downs and made several big plays with his arm as well. It was a weapon the Bears had no answer for as the Seahawks took the lead with 32 seconds left.

Chicago managed to tie the score with a late field goal and force overtime, but Wilson then drove the Seahawks down the field in the extra period and connected with Sidney Rice for the game-winning touchdown.

Wilson finished the game 23 of 37 passing for 293 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He also ran for 71 yards on nine carries. Seattle piled up 459 total yards of offense and averaged 6.5 yards per play against a Bears team that ranks among the league’s top 10 in total defense.

The Bears now have lost three of their last four games and they’ve fallen into a tie for first place with Green Bay in the NFC North.
